A Simple Tool to Regulate Your Nervous System

One of the fastest and most effective ways to shift your state is through breathwork.

Try this:

Nose → Belly → Extended Exhale

  • Breathe in through your nose

  • Expand your belly

  • Slowly extend your exhale

This signals safety to your body, activates the parasympathetic nervous system, and helps you move out of stress and into calm.

Here is a breathwork practice to help tend to your nervous system- I'd suggest doing it daily

EXTENDED EXHALES- anytime the exhale is longer than the inhale it transports us into the ventral vagal branch of the parasympathetic nervous system. Making us feel calm, grounded and relaxed. An incredible tool for quick down regulation, it will also help you sleep like a baby if done just before bed.

Building a Regulated Nervous System

Nervous system regulation isn’t something you do once.

It’s something you practice daily.

Just like brushing your teeth—it needs to become a non-negotiable.
